Symbolism – The Cross

the cross

To many people a cross is just an item they wear as a symbol of their faith or religion, but many people fail to realize what it means! The stories in the bible tell of Jesus living as a regular everyday type of guy. Jesus was a carpenter; he didn’t live the life of a king during his time on earth. He was always giving and never expected anything back. Jesus did not let anger, hatred or self pity get the best of him. He did what was right in his heart, even though he was beaten then tortured and beaten more. Jesus had to carry the cross with a halo of thorns that where pressing into his skull to the place where he would be nailed to the cross and eventually die.

The cross doesn’t only symbolize the faith of Christianity, it also symbolizes the trials and tribulations that we must go through in order to live a life that we would be proud to say we lived. Everything magical is hard at first if it isn’t hard it’s not worth the time to do it. If Jesus took the unjust treatment that he received then what makes you think that you are any different?

In conclusion what I am trying to say is that life is about constant growth, not just in the physical sense but in the mental, emotional and spiritual realm also. Don’t forsake the burdens (tiny crosses) you must struggle with today because remember that Jesus rose again… and so shall we. Always keep looking up and your feet on the ground because the sky is NOT the limit, we already have footprints on the moon.
